CRUX @ Brian Kline's - January 19

We will meet at the FLC on Wednesday night, January 18 at 6:15 PM to go to Brian Kline's workshop for a special CRUX night!!  Please pass the word to everyone.  We will return around 9 PM and will go to the OIP for anyone who would like to do that.  This should be a lot of fun and very interesting.

Dodgeball Tournament Sign Up Soon!

Get your team together for the second annual "Highway 35 Dogeball Tournament" at East Juniata on Sunday, January 23. Check out the poster below and in the CRUX room for more information. This would be a great time to invite kids who don't come to CRUX to play on your team.

Start the New Year Right

The start of a new year often brings ideas of doing things new or better.  A lot of times we have good intentions but we don’t always follow through.  However, there are those times that the changes “stick” and make us better.  So, here is my challenge/invitation to you.  Go To Church!  A number of you come each week to CRUX but don’t really have a church that you attend regularly.  I would like to invite you to come to RMC this week.  The sermons will be based on the book of Mark and Philippians 2:5 – 11. 

 

Why go to church?  Well, it’s not because we are supposed to go.  Instead it is so that you can be encouraged in your relationship with Jesus Christ.  Everyone needs a support group of people who they can share things with, who will help them when the going gets tough and who will encourage them when they need encouraged.  The friends you have now are probably great, but what happens after you graduate?  Believe me when I say that your friends now probably won’t be people you hang out with 10 years from now.  So start now to build relationship with good people who love God. 

 

Two things to finish this.  1) RMC isn’t the only church around.  So if you have friends who go to another church, have at it.  But, go somewhere!  You will be glad you did.  2)  If you go to RMC or another church and like it, please INVITE someone to church today!!

Tear Up & Eat Up!

Thursday from 9 AM - 5 PM or earlier we are tearing out the plaster in Joel and Jana's dining room!  Bring a hammer (or something to hit and tear with) a dust mask if you like, and protective glasses if you need.  We will feed you some good food!  It will be a lot of fun!

Due to the response on the blog, here, we are planning to have breakfast at Cruiser's Cafe at 8:30 AM.  If you need a ride, be at the church at 8:15 AM.  Breakfast is free so just show up!
